Included with this message are the names of over 200,000 consumers and supporters who, since June, signed our Behind the Barcodes petition or took other actions to call on Whole Foods and Amazon to address the poor conditions and poverty wages of workers in the seafood sector that supply to Whole Foods. By the time these voices reach you, we will have added many more from our US Food Truck tour this past week.
We remain open to a sustained and productive conversation with you about the ways your company can make lasting changes for workers. Any company, especially one the size and with the reach of Amazon/Whole Foods, has a responsibility to listen to stakeholders and respect the rights of workers.
