What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity. It was started by the team at the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at the 92nd Street Y, to create a unifying global movement in giving. When you give to Oxfam, you’re doing your part to create a more equal world. By providing lifesaving support in times of crisis while helping communities tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice, your support helps secure equal rights, equal treatment, and equal opportunities—for everyone.

“Because of the knowledge we now have on proper farming methods and nutrition [provided by Oxfam] ...we no longer feel vulnerable; we feel empowered.”
