Nsama Chikwanka
Nsama Chikwanka is the National Coordinator of PWYP Zambia. He is a development professional specialised in enabling cross sectional and interdisciplinary dialogues for inclusive and broad-based development. He mobilises and builds movements, facilitating multistakeholder engagements. He has over 18 years’ experience in Development Policy, Research, Strategy Development, Capacity Building, Human Rights, Gender justice, Child programming, as well as Tax and Ecological Justice across Southern Africa. In his private life, he is an entrepreneur in the food value chain and mentors early to mid-career professionals in job readiness, retention and personal development.
At PWYP Zambia, Nsama helped grow the movement’s footprint across all 10 regions/provinces in less than 10 months. As the anchor of the Zambia Alternative Mining Indaba, a high-level multistakeholder annual platform and coordinator of civil society participation in the Zambia EITI MSG, Nsama drives joint CSO advocacy while fostering stakeholder confidence for an open, transparent and accountable extractive sector. He holds a MA in Development Studies in addition to other academic and professional qualifications.
