This issue of CloseUp focuses on the humanitarian emergencies Oxfam is responding to around the world, including the war in Ukraine, earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, and ongoing drought in East Africa.
Our cover story focuses on recovery within Ukraine, where we have reached about 140,000 people. We also take you to Türkiye and Syria, where thanks to our generous donors, we are rushing aid to earthquake survivors. And finally, we bring you a story of hope from the village of Khalsheekh, in Somaliland, where people fighting the effects of drought are growing vegetables in greenhouses built by Oxfam.
