Singer/actor/activist Alicia Keys supports Oxfam’s work through her We Are Here Movement organization, which focuses on the areas of equality & justice, women & children, and climate & consciousness. Alicia and We Are Here have collaborated with Oxfam on meaningful advocacy on behalf of people forced to flee conflict and disaster, through their support of Oxfam’s Stand As One campaign, as well as Alicia’s moving short film “Let Me In”.
"I was stunned when I learned that there are more refugees living in the world today than at any other point in history, and half of them are children," Keys said in a statement describing the film’s mission. "Creating this film really allowed us to imagine, what if we were the refugees? What if we were the ones torn from the arms of our families and loved ones? How would it feel if this were happening to us?"
