Make a grant to Oxfam America
Support from grantmakers represents an essential component of Oxfam America’s impact on poverty and social injustice around the world. Together with our funding partners, we bring a unique value to international development work through transformative programs and advocacy campaigns that enable poor people to exercise their rights and build sustainable ways of earning a living.
The most useful grants are unrestricted and allow us to use the funding where it is needed most. Grants can also be restricted for specific programs, themes, or geographic areas.
What's new
Humanitarian relief
Providing a grant to Oxfam America to support life-saving relief efforts during a humanitarian emergency allows staff and resources to be deployed immediately to poor and vulnerable communities. Oxfam is also committed to staying in the region after the immediate danger has passed to help devastated communities recover and rebuild. Learn more
Extractive industries campaign
Oxfam America’s new campaign, Right to Know, Right to Decide, is calling on oil, gas, and mining companies to fully respect the right of communities 1) to participate in decision-making and 2) to fully disclose money they pay to foreign governments—information that is crucial for ensuring that governments use these funds to reduce poverty and protect human rights. A grant in support of this program would help give poor people a voice in decisions that impact their ability to live. Learn more
Agriculture and trade
Recent dramatic increases in agricultural commodity and food prices have increased the challenges for small-scale farmers around the world. Small-scale agriculture is critical to 2.25 million of the three billion people who live in poverty worldwide. Oxfam America is advocating changes in global trade policies that have institutionalized poverty, and we are executing programs to develop sustainable methods for farmers. We seek grants to help farming communities achieve a more stable and sustainable existence. Learn more
