Yana is a senior leader with a track record of success both as a chief executive and as a counsellor to CEOs, heads of state and government, civil society leaders and renowned philanthropists. She recently concluded two terms as the Global Managing Partner of Dalberg Advisors, an impact-driven multinational consulting firm.

During her tenure, Yana more than tripled global revenues launched two new business lines, roughly doubled the number of employees and grew the firm’s footprint from 12 to nearly 30 offices worldwide. Yana sees inclusive and sustainable growth as the pivotal challenge of our time, and is a recognized expert in socially responsible investment and business strategies to fuel that growth. In both life and work, Yana is an ardent advocate for gender equality and women’s economic advancement, and has helped leaders in over ten countries including the United States to apply a gender lens to domestic and foreign policy development.

In addition to Oxfam America, Yana serves on the Board of Directors of Convergence and the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund. She is also a member of the Young President’s Organization, the Brookings Global Leadership Council, and CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion. In 2018, Yana was appointed to the Presidential Youth Entrepreneurship Group, a council of young global leaders formed by the President of the African Development Bank to advise heads of state and industry on building inclusive and transformative African economies.

Yana’s perspectives have been published in media outlets including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, The Huffington Post, DevEx, The Guardian, The Economist and Forbes. She has previously worked at Arthur D. Little, The Boston Consulting Group, and Women’s World Banking. Yana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Yana is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, speaks five languages, and lives with her husband, two children and much-loved dog in New York.
