Jack is a lawyer in WilmerHale’s Litigation Department, and a member of its Intellectual Property Litigation and Business Trial Practice Groups in Boston. He served for many years as Co-chair of WilmerHale’s Pro Bono Committee, which manages the firm’s extensive pro bono legal services and inner city community services programs, its relationship with Harvard Law School’s Legal Services Center, and international cases for NGOs and disadvantaged peoples in Africa and Latin America. He has an active pro bono practice, including work in Haiti and representation of veterans and nonprofits. Jack is a former President of the Boston Bar Association and trustee of its charitable granting arm, the Boston Bar Foundation. Jack is also a former President of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Schools Foundation of the Archdiocese of Boston, which raises scholarship funds for 6,000 students at 60 inner city parochial schools. He has served as Board Chair of Discovering Justice, (which provides educational programs about the Constitution and our democracy for inner city children in Boston), and of LaSalle Academy (a 1,400-student middle and high school in Providence, RI), and as a trustee of the Roxbury Latin School in Boston. He also is a trustee of the Lynch Foundation, a major charitable grant maker in Boston. Jack is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar. Jack served as a lieutenant in the US Navy, and deployed to the Mediterranean, Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Tonkin and Persian Gulf areas.
