    Climate Change Policy Manager

    Heather Coleman manages Oxfam America’s climate policy work, leading efforts to push for climate action globally and to address the impacts of climate change on the most vulnerable communities. She previously served as climate policy analyst at Environment Northeast and NESCAUM where she worked on regional and state climate-related initiatives such as the development of The Climate Registry, and the design and implementation of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

    Senior Humanitarian Policy Advisor

    Noah Gottschalk is senior policy advisor for humanitarian response at Oxfam America, where he focuses on Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Syria as well as broader conflict and human rights issues. He has over a decade of experience working with children, families, and communities affected by conflict in these countries and elsewhere in Africa and the Middle East. He specializes in gender issues in forced displacement and in the return and reintegration of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).

    Senior Policy Advisor, Tax and Extractive Industries

    Tatu Ilunga is the Senior Policy Advisor for Tax and Extractive Industries at Oxfam America. He is responsible for leading Oxfam America’s tax policy work with a special emphasis on tax justice issues as they relate to the extractive industries. Tatu works closely with Oxfam country programs and civil society partners as they develop and implement tax justice campaigns.

    Senior Humanitarian Policy Advisor

    Scott Paul is Oxfam America’s senior humanitarian policy advisor focusing on East Africa and a range of cross-cutting humanitarian issues. Previously he worked for CIVIC, an organization that seeks to make warring parties more responsible to civilians. Paul initiated CIVIC’s work on the conflict in Somalia and directed its Making Amends Campaign. Paul also served as deputy director, government relations at Citizens for Global Solutions where he led numerous coalition-based campaigns to promote a vision of US foreign policy centered on cooperation, pragmatism and the rule of law.

    Head of Research

    Kimberly Pfeifer is the Head of Research at Oxfam America, where she oversees the production of research and trends analysis. She serves as the editor of Oxfam America's Research Backgrounder Series and is a member of the organization’s Gender Resource Group. Kimberly co-founded and co-leads the Oxfam Confederation’s Research Network.

    Director Community Finance

    Sophie Romana joined Oxfam America in August 2011 to lead its Saving for Change (SfC) program. She merges social justice and financial innovation to lead a community finance initiative that increases resilience and financial assets. Working with 680,000 members in rural villages throughout 13 countries, SfC trains groups of women to save regularly, borrow from their group’s fund, and repay loans with interest.

    Shannon Scribner has been with Oxfam America since 2003 and is currently leading the humanitarian policy team in Washington, DC. She has worked on Oxfam’s humanitarian responses in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries.

    Robbie Silverman is a Senior Advisor for Oxfam America’s Private Sector Department, where he leads engagements with for-profit corporations to advance Oxfam’s mission to combat poverty, hunger, and injustice worldwide. Robbie works on the strategy and implementation of Oxfam’s global “Even it Up” campaign against inequality, with a particular focus on stopping corporate tax avoidance.

    Director, US Regional Office

    Minor Sinclair directs Oxfam’s US regional office and the domestic program on Decent Work, which seeks policy and workplace solutions for low-wage workers in America’s food system. He serves as co-chair of the Equitable Food Initiative, a consortium of major food buyers, growers, farm worker groups and consumer advocates working to improve working conditions and food safety.

    Irit Tamir is the Advocacy Manager for Oxfam America's Private Sector Department. In her role, she is focused on working with companies to ensure that their business practices result in positive social and environmental impacts for vulnerable communities throughout the world. Irit oversees the advocacy and campaigns work focused on corporate behavior. Most recently, she served as the policy lead for Oxfam International's Behind the Brands campaign.

  20. Sasanka Thilakasiri

    Senior Policy Advisor, Climate Change and Energy

    Sasanka Thilakasiri is a Senior Policy Advisor for Climate Change and Energy at Oxfam America. He works on issues of energy poverty and clean energy access, in shifting international financing towards more pro-poor clean energy investments. He is the energy policy lead for Oxfam International and co-led the development of organization’s global energy policy. Previously he was Oxfam International’s economic justice policy lead for international financial institutions, leading on advocacy efforts toward the World Bank Group and IMF on climate, energy, land and agriculture.
