Refugees lead to design handwashing stations
In Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh, existing handwashing stations increased the risk of spreading COVID-19. To redesign the stations, Oxfam and our partners looked to those who used them most: refugee women. The women redesigned the handwashing stations to work for them - and to save lives.
Hunger + COVID-19 = crisis
In the middle of a pandemic, families in Yemen have another urgent issue to worry about: hunger. By the end of 2020, more people could die per day from hunger linked to COVID-19 than the disease itself. In Yemen, Oxfam is working to provide food baskets and cash assistance for vulnerable families.
