Stephanie Kurzina

Stephanie Kurzina joined Oxfam America in 1996 to lead the organization's fundraising programs. During her tenure, annual revenues have more than quadrupled. Kurzina also led the organization through its first major multiyear fundraising campaign for program growth, successfully completed in 2008. The campaign exceeded the $50 million goal, raising more than $63 million.
In 2009 Kurzina became vice president for development and communications, and her role expanded to include marketing, media, outreach, publications, and digital communications. She also serves as president of the Oxfam America Advocacy Fund (OAAF). Founded in 2004, OAAF is a partner organization to Oxfam America that attempts to end global poverty, hunger, and social injustice through legislative lobbying and political advocacy.
Prior to joining Oxfam, Kurzina worked in fundraising at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, New England Aquarium in Boston, the Joslin Diabetes Center, and the University of Pennsylvania. She is a frequent commentator on fundraising and philanthropy in the press, including USA Today and The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
