One in six people worldwide now suffers from chronic hunger. Inequality—coupled with the global economic downturn—is driving up the number of people in poverty.

The trend can seem unstoppable, but one person can make a difference. When you pledge to ACT FAST with Oxfam, you're joining a movement to beat poverty that could grow even faster than poverty. Each step builds on the power of numbers. And each person who takes the pledge brings us closer to our goal. 1, 10, 100: You're part of something bigger.
