The Campaign for Oxfam America

Through The Campaign for Oxfam America—a $50 million fundraising initiative—we have embarked on a bold model of social change aimed at creating systemic gains for people trapped in poverty. Nearly two billion of our fellow human beings live on less than $2 a day. By targeting the tangle of practices, laws, and policies at all levels of government that foster profound inequities, we can help people help themselves.

What The Campaign is Doing

By helping poor people exercise their rights to create their own success, our goal is to see entire societies move out of poverty. The Campaign for Oxfam America is allowing us to invest in four high-impact strategies to achieve that objective.

Empowering Women and Families

Goal: $17 million

70 percent of the world’s poorest people are women and girls. In Africa, Central America, and Southeast Asia, Oxfam is helping them find ways to transform their lives. Learn how.

Creating Economic Opportunity

Goal: $23 million

Where market inequalities exploit poor people, we challenge those structures. Where market opportunities exist, we help people identify and seize them. Read about some strategies toward success.

Saving Lives

Goal: $7 million

Man-made and natural disasters strike poor people hardest. Oxfam moves quickly to offer relief, and we stay to help communities build back better. Find out how we work with communities to reduce their risks.

Ensuring Impact and Effectiveness

Goal: $3 million

We are making a strategic investment in accountability that will let donors know what we do—and what we’re doing to improve it. Here’s how.
