Oxfam America

Oxfam America Clubs

Oxfam America Clubs and affiliate groups are independent student organizations that support the work of Oxfam America through actions, campaigns and events. Oxfam supplies these organizations with materials, research, training and ideas to create real change in their local communities and the world.

What are Oxfam America Clubs Doing?

At Gonzaga in Spokane, WA the Oxfam America Club collaborated with other campus organizations to host climate change events throughout Earth Week, including raising awareness of the impact of climate change on third world countries.

Georgia State hosted a series of events around Valentines Day including a chocolate fountain that people paid to dip fruit and other treats in, a 'Get Dumped on Valentine's Day: Fair Trade Teach-in' with displays on the effects of cotton and coffee trade policies, and a 'Stop in the Name of Love: No Dirty Gold/Conflict Diamonds Teach-in.'
