2008 DNC Roundtable: The State of Gulf Coast Recovery

Three years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the Gulf Coast, the region has yet to fully recover. In a pivotal election year, Oxfam America convened Democratic Party leaders, Oxfam partners from the region and other allies to participate in a roundtable discussion of the issues affecting the Gulf Coast—and the work that remains to be done. The event was moderated by Ted Koppel, former host of "Nightline." Other attendees including Ethel Kennedy and actor Sean Penn.
The roundtable in Denver coincided with the release of Oxfam's report, "Mirror on America: How the state of Gulf Coast recovery reflects on us all."
