The Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance (MIRA) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding the rights of all immigrants in Mississippi and making them welcome in our communities. MIRA seeks to aid those who are in danger and to aggressively defend the rights of all immigrants who seek justice and common interests. Founded in 2000, the alliance is a formal coalition of immigrant and non-immigrant groups, with over 350 members statewide. MIRA recently opened a field office staffed by two organizers in Biloxi, MS with support from Oxfam America.
