The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. The NAACP has more than 10,000 members in the state of Mississippi. These members form networks that are essential to mobilization efforts, as well as informing the state-wide alliance's legislative priorities and action plan.
