Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund (FSC), founded in 1967, is an outgrowth of the Civil Rights Movement. It works in nine southern states, supporting collective strategies to increase land retention and access to markets; establish community credit unions; and develop housing for low- and moderate-income families.
