In its mission to support the food, land, water ,and cultures of the people of Northern New Mexico, the Taos County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) has created a model community development program for rural, land-based cultures. The model honors traditional values and beliefs while bringing economic benefits to families and communities, particularly in alternative food system projects. TCEDC's programs include small business training, a commercial kitchen for local food producers, a community garden, and support for other local non-profit organizations.
