2006 Indonesia Earthquake

In the first week after the May 27 earthquake that struck near Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Oxfam assisted 100,000 people with clean water and large tarps to provide protection from the heavy rains that pounded the region night after night. Oxfam's priorities were to protect public health, improve living conditions for the survivors, and ensure that the most vulnerable communities get the help they need.
