Expanded Whois for .ac.uk and .gov.uk registrations
(aq) is a JANET approved ISP, registering .ac.uk and .gov.uk names for academic and government institutions.
JaNet has just announced its EXPANDED WHOIS, which means that extra details will be recorded on the whois following registration of a domain.
Please note that whilst Nominet UK operate a registrant opt-out system for non-trading
individuals, the ability to opt-out will not apply to domains registered
within .ac.uk and .gov.uk since individual persons are not eligible for
names within these domains.
