Teresa is an exemplary figure of activism and aid for the bilingual community of Madison.

Teresa Tellez Giron is currently a social service specialist at Dane County Human Services in Madison, Wisconsin. She specializes in bilingual and bicultural services, and is widely seen as an integral part of the Latino community. A testament to this was the fact that she was appointed by the governor to the State of Wisconsin Migrant Council in Wisconsin. She is also the Chair of the Latino Children and Families Council, the Latino Media Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee of Lasup (Latino Support Group). As is evident by her prestigious positions within these groups and organizations, she is extremely well respected by her peers, and provides an inspirational beacon for the betterment of her community. In addition to all of her amazing social work, she is also a single mother of two daughters, residing in Madison.
