AMCS was founded in 1993 by a group of female journalists seeking to address the problems women face in the media industry, increase the access to information for the illiterate majority grassroots population, and generate support for stronger women's voices in the media. AMCS established the only radio station in Mozambique controlled by women journalists, dedicated to empowering and mobilizing women to participate in public affairs and debate. The community radio station is an effective information, communication, and education tool for empowering grassroots communities, since the women make up the majority of the poor illiterate sectors of the community.

AMMCJ was established in 1995 as a membership association for female lawyers in the private and public sectors in Mozambique. AMMCJ works to decrease violence against women and ensure equal legal status of women. The association provides temporary shelter, legal and counseling services to victims of gender violence, and various other services such as legal rights education focused on gender violence, legal disputes, and sexual harassment in the work place.
Association of Farmers in Manica District (ADAMA)

ADAMA is an association of commercial farmers based in the Manica District that was established as a forum for the discussion and promotion of common interests in agriculture production and marketing. The association supports it members by working to increase their agriculture production in a sustainable manner, and up-grading their skills in management, business administration, quality control, marketing, and agriculture. ADAMA also seeks to develop better markets and credit opportunities, promote members products, advocate for the interests of local farmers, and disseminate information on new and improved agriculture facilities and techniques.
Association of Women's Clubs

The AWC structure is organized around 3,000 clubs operating from 60 rural districts of Zimbabwe. Each club has an average membership of twenty women who make up the total membership of 60,000 women for the organization. Due to its organizational structure spanning from the national level association to village level club, the AWC is well positioned to promote democratically led processes. Through its program of village based area trainers who now number 720, up from the original 120, the Association is able to effectively implement a two-way information dissemination system from grassroots communities to the Women's Coalition national structure and vice-versa.

CARITAS Diocesanan is the Mozambican Chapter of CARITAS International which implements the Program for Rural Development. The program maximizes the use of local resources in a sustainable manner by using biological agriculture systems and natural medicine. The program also works to improve the living conditions of rural communities and contribute reducing gender imbalances. In order to implement these gains, some of the activities include cattle distribution, community-based revolving funds, adult literacy, and vocational training for women.

Christian Women for Love and Care in Zimbabwe

CWLCZ is a grassroots movement in Matabeleland working to address constraints on women and children due to conflict. CWLCZ was formed following parliamentary elections in June 2001, and currently boasts of a membership of more than 4,000. CWLCZ supports healing and restoration in areas experiencing crisis and advocates for peace and tolerance. The movement complements the work of other organizations by bringing to the process cultural aspects that are specifically gender -focused to make them more meaningful to women.
CVM - Mozambique Red Cross Society

CVM is a relief society based on the Geneva Conventions--which Mozambique has undersigned--and the fundamental principals of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. CVM promotes humanitarian activities which contribute to the prevention and alleviation of human suffering, regardless of nationality, race, sex, religion, political affiliation, social status, or any other form of discrimination. CVM is an organization of volunteers, who are community members interested in making a contribution for the improvement of local conditions.
