Sisters on the Planet: A documentary screening and panel discussion

A showing of the Sisters on the Planet documentary and follow-up panel discussion will take place at the Community Christian Church Center in Kansas City on November 4. The event is co-sponsored by Oxfam America, League of Women Voters, the UMKC Women's Center, and UMKC Environmental Studies.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, four special women from Bangladesh, Brazil, Biloxi, and Uganda will tell how climate change effects their lives in the half-hour documentary, "Sisters on the Planet." Following this short but powerful film, will be a panel discussion and an opportunity for discussion and action. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Christian Church Activity Center at 46th and Walnut, Kansas City, Missouri on November 4. The event is jointly sponsored by the Greater Kansas City League of Women Voters, the UMKC Women's Center, UMKC Environmental Studies, and Oxfam America.
