Donor Advised Fund

Simplify Your Giving

A donor advised fund (DAF), gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Oxfam America and other qualified charities.

You can also create a lasting legacy by naming Oxfam America the beneficiary of the entire account or a percentage of the fund. Contact your fund administrator for a beneficiary form.

Gifts to Oxfam through Donor Advised Funds

Quitslunds in Venice“We have been giving to Oxfam for almost 40 years. Being close to Oxfam has increased our appreciation of its thought leadership in the international development sector and its unrelenting search for ways to increase its impact in fighting poverty, inequality, and injustice.”

“Making many of our charitable gifts through a donor advised fund (DAF) has been convenient, with huge advantages in tax-efficiency. Donating stock from our taxable brokerage account to the DAF sponsored by the brokerage is quick and easy. Over the years, a few stocks in our portfolio have grown to several times their cost. By donating these shares to a donor advised fund, the full current market value can be used as a charitable donation and we pay no capital gains tax—so more money goes to charity, rather than to taxes. We can donate in one year and request donations to charities in another.”

—Nancy and Dana Quitslund
