On May 8, 2004, over 300 Fair Trade enthusiasts from the Boston area converged at the Covenant Church in downtown Boston to celebrate the continued growth and progress of the Fair Trade movement. Highlights included talks by Noam Chomsky, MIT professor and Fair Trade advocate, Jorge Abarca, a Fair Trade Coffee producer from Nicaragua, and Jeanette Huezo of United for a Fair Economy. Fair Trade vendors and musical acts complemented the festive atmosphere.

Fair Trade supporters also gathered for Fair Trade concerts, fairs, and other events in Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington DC, as well as other cities around the US. For a full account, visit www.fairtraderesource.org.

Thanks to everyone who participated in World Fair Trade Day 2004—and be sure to SAVE THE DATE for 2005!
