The association "La Lumière" is a community NGO based in Tamabacounda, southern Senegal, and is active in the domains of children and women rights, education and training, social insertion, and environmental preservation. La Lumière has been identified as a key actor in the mining communities during the assessment and information collection study commissioned by Oxfam America in the mining sites of Senegal. "La Lumière" has a strong track record in capacity building and mobilization of grassroots communities.
