CVM is a relief society based on the Geneva Conventions -- which Mozambique has undersigned -- and the fundamental principals of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. CVM promotes humanitarian activities which contribute to the prevention and alleviation of human suffering, regardless of nationality, race, sex, religion, political affiliation, social status, or any other form of discrimination. CVM is an organization of volunteers, who are community members interested in making a contribution for the improvement of local conditions.
